Senior PR Manager

Our Clim8 Invest app makes it easy to start investing in ready-made, actively managed portfolios created by our in-house investment team. They have handpicked 400+ companies and funds across six verticals (Clim8 themes) – green energy, climate technology, clean mobility, water systems, the circular economy, and sustainable food – to maximise both financial performance and climate impact. No fossil fuels. No tobacco, gambling and weapons. No greenwashing.

The problem as we see it: these two ‘worlds’ – fighting climate change and investing – are rarely discussed together in the media, and we need to encourage a new data-driven climate conversation that can educate and inspire our growing community of climate impact investors. That’s where you come in.

We are currently looking for a London-based PR Manager to join our growing Marketing & Comms team. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Ownership of our PR calendar. You will lead on the development of a busy PR schedule of media releases by collaborating with Marketing, Product, Data and Investment teams to uncover interesting insights, explain our themes, introduce app features and tell our customers’ stories to our key media targets. You will also be responsible for building the profile of our Founder and the leadership team.
  • Management of an external PR agency. You will oversee Clim8’s relationship our external agency – Clarity PR. You will set achievable KPIs and monitor performance against those. You will develop a framework for monitoring competitor activity and report on the metrics that matter to our long-term success, such as brand trust, share of voice and PR-driven user growth.
  • Collaboration on large-scale marketing and growth campaigns. We have lots of activities planned for the rest of 2022, including a TV campaign, paid advertising in top publications and campaigns on social media. You will be a key member of the team responsible for amplifying our marketing messaging.

Skills & experiences:

  • Experience in producing a variety of media content: including press releases, testimonials / customer case studies, news commentary, insight reports and proactive pitches. You’ll need to be autonomous when things move fast.
  • Knowledge of the UK press landscape, with a particular focus on national consumer publications. You’ll know journalists in this space and have strong relationships with editorial teams.
  • Strong copywriting skills, with demonstrable ability to adapt to audiences and media targets in line with our tone of voice.
  • Experience in data-led storytelling. We want to explain complex topics with a myriad of data points in a unique and entertaining way.
  • Understanding of and interest in finance and business affairs. We avoid industry jargon, but we are building a brand that can go deep into complicated subjects. 
  • Prior experience in Fintech would be a strong advantage.
  • Prior experience in creating and hosting brand events is desirable.
