Breaking new ground
Since our last crowdfunding round, we’ve launched a major TV campaign fronted by mathematician and BBC presenter Hannah Fry, published a letter in The Economist calling out ESG as BS, won a WIRED startup pitch competition and learned how to build the next unicorn at Tech Nation’s Upscale programme.
What’s next for Clim8
We have an ambitious vision for reinventing green investment, following the launch of our fast-growing app. In the next 12 months, we’ll be enhancing our tools for showing climate impact and releasing new products like our Junior ISA and pensions.
FAQ
When you invest in equity, you buy a percentage or share of a business in the hope that the value of that company will increase over time. Hopefully, the business you have backed goes on to make an ‘exit’ (by floating on the stock market or via a sale to another company) at a higher value than when you invested, and you will get a return on your investment and make a profit. Just remember that investing in a startup business carries significant risks, including illiquidity, lack of dividends, loss of your investment and dilution. You can read more about these risks on the Crowdcube website.
As we’ve learned from some of the most innovative London fintechs, combining crowdfunding and institutional investors allows our community to meaningfully share in our success, while industry expert backing gives us the knowhow to scale fast.
Anyone over the age of 18 can, if they meet the eligibility criteria. Due to local laws and regulations, retail investors based in the USA, Canada and Japan will not be able to invest in this crowdfunding round. You must also have a Crowdcube account to participate.
Our crowdfunding round will be launching soon exclusively on Crowdcube. Pre-registered investors will be given priority access via email. We’re expecting increased demand this time around, so if you’d like to participate we strongly encourage you to pre-register.
Yes, we have a Knowledge Intensive EIS for eligible UK investors.
We’ve done three successful Crowdcube campaigns with over 5,000 investors. In addition, we have secured funds from VCs such as 7percent Ventures and prominent angel investors. Channel4 Ventures are also an investor.
